I'm stealing this idea right from Barbara O'Connor. Every week she highlights something she loves.
I, love my iPad case. I bought it before they even released the iPad. I read reviews from all the major gadget sites but nothing there really sparked me. I stumbled across DodoCase a few days into the search and I can now say that I believe in love at first sight. It was the one. The search was over.
As I poked around on the dodocase website I came across the following videos. Not only was the case beautiful but the company's backstory is fascinating and commendable. Here's a business dedicated to creating a quality product, perserving a time-honored tradition, and they're committed to supporting their local community. In this global age of mass production, the internet also enables us to link up with small socially responsible companies to support products that we believe in.
We've talked a lot about the importance of process. A special thanks to DodoCase for taking the time to bring us into their factory.
I found this gem when I went to put the videos together. We watched The Fantastic Flying Books of Morris Lessmore during our hurricane unit. How perfect!
Because the cases are made by hand, it took over a month before it arrived. In that time, I carried around my iPad in its box but I'm happy to say that it was worth the wait.
Guess who carries their iPad in a DodoCase?
